Note(s): Finally, I'm back to writing some new material! It's been awhile, hasn't it? The job search still sucks, so I decided to take my mind off of it and write something fluffy for a change.

I think Lexor in the comic deserves to have something good happen to him for once. So, I thought about what happened in the third issue, The Star Stone, in the background with him and Virulina, and it went from from there.

I still hold the opinion that either Cravex in the cartoon or Lexor in the comic would be better boyfriends to Mortdred than Darkstorm.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by, as always.

Summary: Lexor gives Mortdred a modest bouquet as a token of his thanks -along with some hidden feelings for the steward-. But, how Mortdred will react is what worries him the most.

Lexor took a deep breath as he gifted Mortdred the bouquet of roses and lavender.

It was of a modest size with pink roses along with the lavender being peppered about in the arrangement.

“Flowers? For me?” said Mortdred.

“Y-yes, I thought I would offer my gratitude for all of your hard work.”

Well, the explanation was half-true. The other half was that he had developed a crush on the gray haired dandy. From the way he dressed to how he spoke was what grabbed his attention the most. He could go on, but, for now, he would rather keep the last part to himself and hoped the flowers were subtle enough.

“Oh, you shouldn’t have.”

And hearing those words, he waited for the gift to be shoved right back into his face just like what Virulina had done to him. But, he was surprised when Mortdred accepted the bouquet.

The mix of sweet and soothing fragrances of the flowers made the steward smile.

He shook from the initial shock and awkwardly asked, “So, do you like them?”

“Yes, you got a good eye for design, and well.” Mortdred stopped himself from adding on to the thought. The warm smile somewhat faded.

Lexor got a little concerned from the way Mortdred held the flowers. It was as if they were going to be taken away from him at any moment.

Mortdred quickly got back on topic.

“Well, thank you for the gift. It was very thoughtful of you.”

He gave Lexor a peck on the cheek.

“Oh! Um- y-yes, you’re welcome.” He shyly smiled.
